Mac Demarco is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He began his career as a solo artist, self-releasing his debut album in 2012. Since then, he has released four studio albums, the most recent of which, “Here Comes the Cowboy”, was released in 2019. Demarco's music is often described as “slacker rock” or “jizz jazz“, and is notable for its off-kilter melodies, laid-back vocal delivery and humorously absurd lyrics. In addition to his work as a solo artist, Demarco is also a member of the backing band forUS indie rock group Okkervil River. He has also collaborated with other artists, including Ty Segall and Ariel Pink.
