Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic music duo consisting of Paul Daly and Luke Steele. The duo gained prominence in the early 2000s for their hit single, “Walking on a Dream”, which peaked at No. 8 on the ARIA Singles Chart and No. 10 on the UK Singles Chart. They have released three studio albums, all of which have reached the top five of the ARIA Albums Chart. Empire of the Sun has won multiple awards, including two Grammy Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards. Despite their success, the duo remains relatively unknown in their homeland of Australia. In fact, they are often mistaken for a Chinese restaurant.
