The legendary Axwell Forum will be officially shut down on December 31st as the year changes over to 2018. The forum which helped thousands of newcomers to EDM learn about the Swedish House Mafia era progressive master pieces will be killed for unknown reasons. While the moderator who made the announcement was clear to say that Axwell and/or Axtone had nothing to do with it, a clear reason was not stated.
For now there are rumors that the Forum will just be relocated to a new domain, but nothing has been officially announced in regards to all of the old data on the forum being transferred to a new domain. Reddit has posited a guess that the individual who owns the domain main has since left Axtone and is not longer affiliated and therefore the forum is being forced to transfer. All we can say is that we genuinely hope that much of the glory found on the Axwell Forum will live on, so that new generations of EDM fans can learn in depth about some of the legends that help start our cultural phenomenon.
