Diplo's Mad Decent label rips the red and green wrapping off the fifth installment of their annual Christmas compilation, A VERY DECENT CHRISTMAS 5.
These ten holiday-centric tunes are set to replace your overplayed holiday playlist with a stacked lineup of Mad Decent mainstays. Kicking off the compilation is a new remix of Major Lazer’s “Know No Better” from ⅓ of the trio Walshy Fire, and former Bad Royale member Maor Levi’s solo project Megatone.
A trap version of Jingle Bells from Party Favor directly follows, before listeners find themselves under the EDM mistletoe with high energy tracks from Hoodboi, DJ Douggpound, KiWi, Aquadrop, SpydaT.E.K and Foodman. On the new album, the Mad Decent crew meshes trap, hardstyle and Japanese club flavors with classic Yuletide cheer.
Mad Decent welcomes two newcomers to the label Tre Oh Fie and rrotik, with the former delivering a not-so-quiet flip of “Silent Night” and the latter bringing Brazilian bass house to this year’s holiday season.
The label’s A VERY DECENT CHRISTMAS series began filling holiday stockings with anything but coal in 2013, and this year’s edition won’t disappoint.
