First and foremost, if you came here looking for the dubstep Skrillex then you are going to be a little bit disappointed. While Skrillex has been incredibly active in just about every genre in 2017, this week he has dropped a unique track that will leave bass music fans sad. While some bass lovers might be sad, any music lover can appreciate this evil little single featuring Sirah.
Skrillex produced this track with a bizarre, wonky atmospheric beat. It is nostalgic in some instances and deliriously odd in others. As the listener, one cannot really entirely comprehend the feeling the beat is supposed to evoke. This, in my opinion, is fascinating. It is a unique and ominous track. Featuring vocals by Sirah throughout, ‘Deadbeat' is not what one would expect from Skrillex. But if 2017 has shown us anything so far – it's that Skrillex wants us to expect the unexpected.
