An aura of mystery has become common folk within dance music over the last several years. With certain artists choosing to hide their identities for reasons all their own, certain tracks never rise to their full potential without proper credit. Well lucky enough for the trio that composes Cheat Codes, they have now officially seen both sides of that spectrum.
It was back in January with their release of ‘Say Goodbye', that the LA based trio rose up the charts and garnered massive attention on not only a domestic scale, but a global scale as well. With nearly 700,000 plays in less then 10 days, a spot on The Chainsmokers US Tour, and added to the BPM Breaker rotation, did the guys know they had something on their hands.
Working hand in hand with Spinnin' Records, and Kris Kross Amsterdam, the ideas behind ‘Sex' were born. Covering the vocals from Salt-n-Peppa's “Let's Talk About Sex”, this track became the most requested ID from the onset of this past month. Being played out by the likes of Nicky Romero, Thomas Gold, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, this ID was born and officially given the name ‘Sex'.
