There are few things I get really excited about at this age. New music from artists that I hold dear to my heart would be one of them. Au5, otherwise known as Austin Collins, has released Atlantis and it is just what I have come to expect of him. Au5’s sound creation is just straight up better than most of his peers and it shows on his latest Monstercat release. Atlantis starts off in a beautiful dream like sequence that builds only to be released into an explosion of sound driven by deep rich bass. As the track moves along the synths dance around and slam into an actual dubstep drop. That’s right it’s still a genre and alive and well in the minds of artists like Au5.
I have seen Au5 open for Xilent a few years back and I can personally say he is a do not miss performer. His mastery of the flange and relentless energy is addictive and fun to watch. Austin is the best thing to come out of New Jersey since Porkroll and I am beyond excited to hear new music from him.
