If you are familiar with the hardstyle scene – then you'll know the name. If not, then welcome the duo Audiotricz to your daily dose of listening. Hailing from the Netherlands, Kenneth Kroes and Léon Benschop have brought the name Audiotricz to an unreachable degree. Starting back in 2013, the childhood friends whom have a background with sound design, started the duo and released their first EP We Are Audiotricz on Scantraxx. Being signed to one of the biggest hardstyle labels the two noted that:
“It is a dream that has come true. Joining the same label as our buddies Atmozfears & Bass Modulators. We’re glad to be part of the Scantraxx family!”
With a recent success of collaborating with artists like Atmozfears on the song Reawakening and even doing official remixes for Hardwell, Nervo & R3hab – the inspiration must come from somewhere. The two even had their newest song with Wildstylez played by W&W at this years Ultra Music Festival on the main stage, they voiced that:
“Inspiration comes of working every single day and having W&W play the song is really awesome!”
As far as who they would love to make a track with? Noisecontrollers and Showtek, which would be two killer tracks we would love to look forward to.
When the two are traveling city to city, country to country – they end up playing for many crowds. But their favorite has been Chile, “We’re still getting goosebumps thinking about how awesome it was at Mysterland!” they said. As like anyone, the two are just like everyone else before a show. Little nerves and some prepping goes on:
“Not really any rituals though, we just make sure we bring all of our stuff to our bookings. Keep checking if the usb’s are there for like 5 times haha. Kenneth always needs to go to the toilet a few minutes before our set. Léon always has to smoke a cigarette.”
Audiotricz recently played their first USA show at Basscon in LA and they completely nailed it. With such a great set, we are pleased to see them on the line up for this years EDC Las Vegas. Hopefully they can bring more hardstyle to America, as our scene is ever-growing. Until then check out their Infinite Podcast for upcoming news, releases, and more. Ending things on a lighter note, if there was a zombie apocalypse, what would be the first thing they'd do? “Buy some big ass gun’s and get good trained to fight back. But probably first a coffee.”
