Los Angeles based Producer and DJ dyln returns with brand new single “falling*”
American electronic music producer and DJ based in Los Angeles dyln is back. After a multi-year song release hiatus following his 2021 debut album BoomTown, LA-based producer, DJ, and artist dyln has released his new single “falling*.”
The track blends nostalgic Y2K trance elements with vibey melodic counter-melodies, a melancholic vocal, and lush, atmospheric chords. It’s an instantly replayable cut that captures a perfect balance of emotional depth and dancefloor energy, we can’t stop listening to it.
We caught up with dyln to talk about the new music and his plans for the future.
What inspired this release?
dyln: “I wanted to bring people into my world. I listen to old trance records pretty much every day, and I just wanted to create a feeling for anyone to get lost in.”
Who is Ahri?
dyln: “Ahri is a friend, and a girl who got lost in another world, and she has cats that protect her”
Ahri is a 3D character created by artist b0throps for dyln's “falling*” music video. A girl mage with a staff, her eclectic, cute design has already been making the rounds on social media. She's a refreshing presence in the world dyln is building, expressive, a little mysterious, and instantly memorable, the kind of character you want to know more about the moment she appears on screen.
Any plans for the future?
dyln: “I just want to make my own impact on dance music, I love it in Asia, so i’ll be touring here for a while”
dyln has been on tour in Asia since late 2022, building serious momentum in the Asian music scene. He frequents multiple tour spots across the region with residencies in China, Thailand, and Japan. He has performed at major nightclubs including Ultra Mix in Guangzhou, Orangutan Bunker in Chengdu, and OGBK in Chongqing. In 2023, he co-founded the electronic/hip-hop influenced nightclub Teethgold in Chengdu, China, which has already hosted major events featuring some of China’s biggest hip-hop and EDM acts, including a late appearance from Matt Ox, 88 Rising’s Higher Brothers, and other underground heavyweights.
