Austin City Limits is once again proving why it is continually being rated as the country's best music festival. After seeing its grounds substantially expanded in 2018, and a mix of genres and acts old and new, Austin City Limits created a tough experience to top. Then it dropped its 2019 lineup and all doubts were proven to be unfounded.
Headliners crossed generations and genres. Tapping Guns N Roses, Billie Eilish, The Cure, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and more to lead the charge, ACL's undercard is just as impressive.
But with every enormous showstopping lineup comes a task which is commonly ignored for festivals – balancing the talent across each day smoothly. To say that Austin City Limits nailed its spread over both weekends would be an understatement. There is not a single day that could be missed, as the dispersion of both the headliners and the undercard acts are even and impressive.
