Tomorrowland decided to take things to new heights and put on the first ever Tomorrowland Winter this year at the French ski resort, Alpe d’Huez. The festival unofficially started on Saturday with guests arriving early to enjoy the slopes. And yesterday, around 250 attendees had to evacuate.
The attendees were forced to evacuate a ski track and bar when winds made conditions unsafe. Some artists were already at the resort and evacuated as well. Winds are expected to die down by the festivals start.
Tomorrowland Winter is set to still go on and officially begins March 13th. With its beautiful mainstage, and Tomorrowland's ability to go above and beyond, we are excited for what's in store. The French alps are expected to have nearly 25,000 attendees for the first ever Tomorrowland Winter.
