Ethan Payton is one of my favorite up and coming hip-hop acts. This dude hails from Milwaukee and delivers some of the best sounds I’ve heard from an independent rap artist. With phenomenal production and high flying lyrics, his latest track, “Turn Me Down,” is certainly a breath of fresh air. Taking a page from Chance The Rapper’s book, Payton mixes up his flow between singing and rapping, all while riding a beautiful wave of horn and synth melodies. Definitely bump this one at your earliest convenience.
