Ahh, the first new music Friday since the conclusion of Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival, what a time to be alive. Today, Steve Aoki and LOOPERS have dropped a new single and it really hits the mark. The tune is called ‘Pika Pika' and man is it a heater.
Steve Aoki was a busy man in Miami, playing parties every night, holding down a coveted main stage slot at Ultra Music Festival, and still finding time to connect with his fans. In his latest release, Steve explores a more authentic house sound, and boy does he find some serious success. ‘Pika Pika' has a driving energy which can be felt from the first notes of the intro all the way to the tail end of the release. Steve and LOOPERS blend in various styles throughout the track making it carry more depth than the average cut these days.
While many were worried that Aoki might not return to EDM after his stint in the rap game, those worries have proven to be unfounded. Steve Aoki is back to the dance music paradigm and making some of the best music of his career.
