David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “Sad Girls” Hits No. 1 on US Dance Radio

David Guetta and Bebe Rexha have done it again. “Sad Girls,” the pair’s latest link-up, just climbed to No. 1 on both US Dance Radio and Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, according to Guetta’s own celebratory announcement this week. “We did it Bebe Rexha!!! Sad girls is officially #1 on U.S. Dance Radio and Billboard Dance Airplay Chart. Thank you guys for making this happen,” he wrote.

If this partnership feels automatic at this point, that’s because it kind of is. The two have been trading hits for a decade — “Hey Mama,” “Say My Name,” “One in a Million,” and of course “I’m Good (Blue),” the 2022 juggernaut that refused to leave radio for about a year. “Sad Girls” is the latest entry in one of the most reliable DJ-pop pairings in dance music, and it’s now their newest chart-topper.

The track itself dropped May 29 via Empire and landed on Rexha’s album Dirty Blonde a couple of weeks later. It’s classic Guetta-Rexha material: a big sad-banger hook built for crying and dancing at the same time. Rexha put it best when the single came out — she said it’s “for anyone who has ever been on a dance floor with a broken heart and refused to let it win.” Three months of steady radio growth later, that pitch clearly connected.

The milestone caps a big summer for both of them. Guetta picked up his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this year and is still the most-streamed DJ on Spotify by a comfortable margin, while Rexha spent part of her summer performing on Guetta’s curated stage at Tomorrowland. A No. 1 at US dance radio is almost routine for him at this point — and yet the man keeps collecting them like festival wristbands.

Is “Sad Girls” reinventing anything? No. Does it need to? Also no. Dance radio in 2026 has room for underground crossovers and for a perfectly engineered Guetta-Rexha single doing exactly what it says on the tin.
