Avicii’s Final Show Gets 10th Anniversary Screening Event in Stockholm
The Avicii Experience will screen "My Last Show" and rare Malmö footage at The Node in Stockholm on August 28 — ten years to the day since his final set at Ushuaïa Ibiza.
Ten years. That’s how long it’s been since Avicii played his final show, and the Avicii Experience is marking the anniversary the right way: with a special screening evening in Stockholm on Friday, August 28 — the exact date Tim Bergling closed out his touring career at Ushuaïa Ibiza back in 2016.
The event takes over The Node in Stockholm from 4 PM to 9 PM, with two films alternating every 30 minutes. The first is Avicii — My Last Show, the film capturing that final Ushuaïa performance in full. The second is the rarer draw: exclusive footage from his last-ever Swedish show at Tallriken in Malmö, played earlier that same August. For the superfans, that Malmö material alone is worth the trip.
Getting in is refreshingly simple — no tickets, no seat lottery. According to the announcement, you just need to be subscribed to the Avicii Experience newsletter and register in advance through their site. Since screenings rotate all evening, there’s no booking a specific slot either; you show up, you watch, you feel things.
If you can’t make it to Sweden, My Last Show has been streaming on Netflix since 2024, so you can hold your own screening at home. But there’s something fitting about this one happening in Stockholm, his hometown, hosted by the museum built around his life and work.
It’s strange to think about how much has changed in those ten years. When Avicii retired from touring in 2016, stadium-filling melodic dance music felt like it might fade with him. Instead, his influence is everywhere — in the melodic house wave, in every producer who learned song structure from “Levels” stems, in the way the industry now actually talks about mental health and touring burnout. His posthumous album Tim made that legacy explicit back in 2019, and the tributes haven’t slowed since.
