KILIMANJARO Announces New Project “THE ASCENSION (INKAWAMI)” for October
KILIMANJARO has announced "THE ASCENSION (INKAWAMI)," a nine-track project arriving October 16, led by the BBC Radio 1-premiered single "Stumble" featuring RAHH.

KILIMANJARO is calling “THE ASCENSION (INKAWAMI)” his biggest and most ambitious body of work yet, and it arrives October 16 — with lead single “Stumble” already out after a BBC Radio 1 premiere.

The nine-track project represents more than two years of work, according to the announcement, and he's framed it as a personal one. It's “my most personal and reflective body of work to date,” he said, describing it as being about “sacrifices, losses, energy, and effort.” Given how fast his last few years have gone, that framing tracks.
“Stumble” features British singer-songwriter RAHH and premiered on BBC Radio 1's Future Dance with Sarah Story. The project is produced by KILIMANJARO alongside Jacob Manson and Jay Gilbert, with the “Stumble” video directed by Sekou Abineri. RAHH described the shoot in typically enthusiastic terms: “Love the aesthetic. We're shooting on real time. There's a choir. The building is just really rustic and it's just going to look gorgeous.”
If you haven't been following his run, the short version: he's signed to Capitol/Polydor, has held a BBC Radio 1 residency, and picked up a MOBO nomination for Best Electronic Act. His 2022 Boiler Room with Fred again.. has racked up well over a million views and remains the entry point for a lot of people.
This year alone he's released “I Don't Want To Go” with Bloody Civilian and The Joy in May, and — maybe more meaningfully — played his first-ever shows in Lusaka, Zambia and Nairobi, Kenya as part of an April homecoming run. For an artist whose sound draws so directly on his Zambian heritage, playing those cities for the first time is a bigger deal than any chart position.
We put him on our rising artists to watch in 2026 list in March, and this is the kind of release that makes those lists look smart. October's a way off, but “Stumble” is a strong enough opening statement to hold you over.
