Massive Attack and Bohemian FC Team Up on Charity Shirt for Cuban Medical Aid

Massive Attack just added “football kit designers” to the resume. The Bristol legends have teamed up with Dublin's Bohemian FC on a special-edition 2026 FAI Cup jersey, with 30% of profits going to medical aid for Cuba. And if you know anything about Bohs, you already know this isn't a random pairing — this is the club that's previously put Bob Marley, Annie Mac and Kneecap on a shirt.

The design itself goes deep. You get thick khaki and black stripes with a red V-neck, a large white star pulled from the Cuban flag, and the club crest rendered in Irish. Text from Che Guevara's 1965 Algiers address runs through the stripes, Jim Fitzpatrick's famous Che image is embroidered on the hem tag, and the back carries a quote from Che's father: “In my son's veins flowed the blood of the Irish rebels.” The band's touch shows up in the details too — Massive Attack's flame symbol sits below the back collar, and the interior neck tape features lyrics from “Teardrop.” A jersey with lore, basically.

The charity angle is the real point, though. According to the club's announcement, 30% of profits are split evenly between the Cuba Solidarity Campaign's Cuba Vive Medical Aid Appeal and mediCuba-Europe, both of which supply medical equipment to Cuban hospitals dealing with serious shortages. “The Cuban people need solidarity, not sanctions,” said Cuba Vive's Natasha Hickman in the announcement.

Bohemians' chief commercial officer Daniel Lambert said the band's values “are strongly aligned with the values of Bohemian FC, from Palestine to climate justice,” while Massive Attack said they're “proud to follow the tradition of musicians who've collaborated with Bohemian FC.” For a group that's spent the last few years pushing the industry on climate-friendly touring and speaking up on just about every cause they believe in, a fan-owned Dublin club is about as on-brand a partner as it gets.

Want one? Get in line. The shirt sells for €75 through the club's online store, and every size is already sold out — the club says a full restock lands around September 9. Not bad for a third kit that'll only be worn in Ireland's FAI Cup this season.

There's also a proper rollout behind it: two short films by Unit 3 Films accompany the release, leaning into the Irish-Cuban connection that inspired the whole design.

Between this and the band's ongoing run of politically charged live shows, Massive Attack keep finding ways to make noise outside the studio. A trip-hop institution, a 136-year-old Dublin football club, and Cuban hospitals all in one story — you don't get many crossovers like that in dance music.
