With “Bushido,” Papercut demonstrates his versatility as a producer. The release draws influence from hybrid trap, future bass, and traditional eastern music, creating a contrast between aggressive and melodic elements. The track in its entirety possesses a truly cinematic feel, building up to epic drops with eviscerating sound design. Considering its diversity, “Bushido” has the potential to ignite festivals and clubs everywhere.
Cis Gryp, otherwise known as the Belgian DJ/producer Papercut, fuses the aggressive elements of trap and dubstep with rich melodies, reminiscent of acts like NGHTMRE, Ekali, and Virtual Riot. Cis began his musical journey at the age of twelve, playing the guitar and studying music theory. He eventually fell in love with creating dance. With releases on the likes of Otodayo Records and High Tea Music, and having performed at High Tea Haarlem hosted by T & Sugah, Papercut is poised to make a name for himself with quality bass music.
