Things aren't looking good for Fyre Festival's promoter Billy McFarland.
Last year the entrepreneur was placed under arrest after he charged exorbitant ticket prices for what turned out to be a fake luxury music festival in the Bahamas.
This past Tuesday, McFarland was arrested again and charged with earning $100,000 by selling fake tickets to exclusive fashion, sporting, and music events. Apparently, McFarland sold the passes through a company called NYC VIP Access.
Manhattan federal prosecutors charged him with one count of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. McFarland faces a maximum of 40 years in prison if convicted.
