Allegations Made Against Starkillers For Releasing Co-Produced Avicii Album

It was only two days ago that Tim Bergling passed away of unknown causes. Immediately the dance music world was rocked by the development. Avicii was one of the most beloved electronic music producers of all time and his untimely passing was devastating for fans all over the world. Yesterday though the artist Starkillers released what he said was a collaborative album between him and Avicii that was created in 2009.

Immediately fans were ecstatic to hear new music from Avicii. It was a bittersweet experience listening to new music from Avicii knowing he was gone. Starkillers explained that the album was never published back in the day because it got bogged down by label contracts. He further explained that now with Avicii's passing he was able to upload the album as the existing contracts stopping its release. Starkillers continued to express his grief over Avicii's passing on social media, maintaining that the album release was done to honor Tim's legacy.

A Different Motive

Today though, we have obtained screenshots of a conversation between Starkillers and producer/DJ Tegi (@tegiofficial) that paint a much darker motive to him releasing the old album. It seems that Starkillers has had an issue with Avicii since the release of ‘Bromance'. Many fans who followed the artist were quick to bring up his past comments towards Avicii, to which Starkillers has tweeted out sentiments saying he will explain “the real story” this Monday. Tegi was one of those fans who saw a disconnect between Starkillers past behavior and his tweets from yesterday and DMed him.

Below you will find a conversation in which Starkillers says that all of the music from the unreleased album is actually his, and Avicii was only credited as a producer. He goes further explain his bitterness towards Avicii for not allowing him to release the album. Starkillers still claims that he has a story that will explain his attitude.
