Look out folks, Shambhala Music Festival will be returning to the legendary Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia for their 21st Annual Event! Having started in 1997, the festival has made an international name for itself as one of the largest and longest-running dance music festivals of all time. After much anticipation, the first phase one of the Shambhala 2018 lineup has finally been released, and it is STACKED.
Leading off with some of this year's biggest headliners, phase 1 of the Shambhala 2018 lineup features performances by REZZ, The Glitch Mob, Liquid Stranger, Boogie T and Adventure Club, as well as Yheti and 29 Palms, the side project of Ooah and Boreta of The Glitch Mob. Other acts include Mr. Carmack, Claptone, Dirt Monkey and Space Jesus, with many more to come.
Perhaps the biggest surprise though is the absence of Excision, who has performed at the festival for the past 10 years, and whose annual Shambhala Mix on Soundcloud has been highly sought out year after year. In a heartfelt twitter post, the artist expressed his regret at not being featured on the Shambhala 2018 lineup but hints to a return in future festival seasons.
The last 10 years playing at Shambhala every summer have been truly special to me. Even though I won’t be a part of this year’s event, I definitely hope to be back in the future. Thank you to all the Sham fam for the constant love and support. <3
