Newport Beach, California – Steve Aoki grew up in Newport Beach, California. After graduating from Newport Harbor High School in 1995 and attending UCSB, Aoki has quickly become one of dance music's biggest stars.

The house was purchased by Chizuru Kobayashi in 1987, several years after divorcing Steve's father, Rocky Aoki, the founder of the Benihana restaurant chain.
