This past Saturday, a concert held during South by Southwest was canceled due to an unsuspected bomb threat that occurred. Austin police arrested a suspicious man, named Trevor Weldon, that was charged with emailing a bomb threat. The suspicious convict is expected to serve 10 years in prison due to this serious charge.
Originally, The Roots were expected to perform that night, but because of the bomb threat, the show was canceled for the safety of the attendees and performers. Fortunately, there was no suspicious material that led to any possible bomb in place.
