Fedde Le Grand & Ida Corr Share The “Let Me Think About It” Celebration Mix To Mark 10 Years Of The Original Track

It's been quite the decade since Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr teamed up for the now legendary ‘Let Me Think About It'. Emerging in 2007, the song rose to stardom as an immensely popular Ibiza anthem, hit #2 in the UK Singles Chart and put its creators even firmer on the dance music map. Now, ten years later, a new take on the IDMA-nominated record lands onto Fedde Le Grand's Darklight Recordings for another round of all-out floor filling, the Celebration Mix of ‘Let Me Think About It'.

Turning the world of dance music upside down in a fashion similar to that of its predecessor, the Celebration Mix of ‘Let Me Think About It' sees Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr offer a thunderous spin on their iconic collaboration. Equally funky and dancefloor ready, this fresh version drives the original's rawness into overdrive and will remind fans why they fell in love with Fedde's sound in the first place. Putting this cut at the top of your playlist is a definite no-brainer.

Check out the track below as well as a few questions Fedde answered about this amazing song!

10 Years ago “Let Me Think About It” originally dropped, WOW! The original song many don't know is an actual remix of Ida Corr's original song from 2006 “Let Me Think About It”. What originally made you want to remix that track? Your remix is so popular know you can't even find the original track anywhere now LOL.

I actually was working on a compilation album and someone sent me the track, which I really liked but had some different ideas on, so I reached out to see if I could remix the track…..

The music video is also one of the most iconic EDM videos in my opinion in the past 10 years, even though it's very simple the video was a hit. Did you have influence into the music video?

No.

Alright 10 years later, how much do you think that song effected your current success?

Oh it definitely did. Of course everything started with Put Your Hands Up For Detroit, but there are so many one hit wonders. Especially back then it kind of didn’t mean anything yet, the established names definitely needed more to accept me as new kid on the block. Let Me Think About It and other follow-up records like The Creeps definitely were very important for me in that respect.

The celebration mix is incredible! I love how you kept the original flavor, but also put some new life into the track, when did you decide you wanted to do this 10 year celebration mix?

Thank you so much! Ida and I actually always kind of kept in touch, in 2016 I had her over for my GRAND show in Amsterdam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmXhfIS31ug) and the idea was born to do a new record together which turned into Firestarter featuring Shaggy(http://Feddelegrand.lnk.to/Firestarter). Having that released just recently and hitting the 10yr since initial release mark, we just couldn’t not pay attention to it. It was quite a challenge though, I really didn’t want to do anything too far from the original. I’m quite happy with the end result 🙂

And do you plan to add this to upcoming sets or stick with the original?

I actually played out the Original again the other day after having been playing the new Celebration Mix, and I have to say I was kind of surprised with the confrontation of the difference, I definitely love the beefed up new mix and how it drops on the floor!
