If you have been living under a rock for the last decade you might be unfamiliar with Tiesto's masterful curated compilation series, Club Life. Still to this day ‘Club Life Vol 2: Miami', is hailed as one of the most impressive compilations of all time. Many times Club Life serves as a proving ground for new artists and tends to influence the direction of dance music for the following months.
The fifth installment of Club Life, while impressive, does not dethrone Miami as the king of the compilations. ‘Volume 5: China' features many of the gorgeous singles Tiesto has released of the last few months including his collaboration with KSHMR, ‘Harder' and his latest release with Aloe Blacc, ‘Carry You Home'. These tracks alone carry the LP to an elevated level. Remixes of past classics also find their home on the compilation, which will give those who have followed Tiesto from the beginning great pleasure.
Newcomer SWACQ brings a handful of quality releases to the compilation, showcasing that he will soon be the new golden child of Tiesto's Musical Freedom imprint. For good reason to, as SWACQ seriously brings some heart with his features. While maybe this isn't the best of the Club Life series, it without a doubt stands near the top. Take a listen below.
