It has been the conversation for many years now. Insomniac Events and it's CEO and President Pasquale Rotella has been embroiled in first a criminal and subsequently civil trial around corruption during their time hosting events at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The civil case was brought by the government organization, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission. Though it has been 7 years since events were held at the Coliseum, the company's history is less than stellar with the venue.

Multi-Year Law Suit Has Ended

The lawsuit stated that through corrupt techniques Insomniac was able to under pay the venue. It also notes the several deaths which occurred during the festivals held at the venue, including one of a minor who died of an ecstasy overdose. Insomniac settle out of court for $3.5 Million with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission.

Now that the trial has ended and the controversy between Insomniac and LA is over, we are happy to start to look forward to the future. Specifically the exciting changes coming to EDC Las Vegas in 2018.
