This past weekend saw some of the most unbelievable acts perform from around the world. Not only did we have Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL, but Beyond Wonderland was also happening on the other side of the country at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA! This year's lineup had a little something for everyone. From Vini Vici and Andrew Rayel at the Trance dedicated Dreamstate stage on Friday, to Datsik and NGHTMRE at the Bassrush stage on Saturday.

On Friday, the Outer Realms stage was home to Dreamstate where everyone was lost in a state of Trance. Due to an accident a few weeks back, the legendary Paul van Dyk, (who we all hope gets better ASAP), was replaced in the lineup by Andrew Rayel, who joined other Trance giants like Myon & Shane 54Pure NRG (Giuseppe Ottaviani & Solarstone), and the U.S. debut of Ferry Corsten Presents Gouryella. Gouryella took me on an emotionally charged musical journey down memory lane. At the Queen's Domain, which was the main stage this year, we had Carnage, Marshmello, and Dada Life closing out the night and everyone went bananas! There were many that were literally dressed as bananas…

Saturday was just as crazy, if not crazier, than Friday. Doctor P had to cancel last minute, but the crowd wasn't disappointed because NGHTMRE took his place. Slander was performing as I got to the main stage and they brought out NGHTMRE to announce that they'll be playing a back to back set at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA in July! When Slander played ‘Hello' by Adele (which is a little overplayed if you ask me), it went into an INSANE breakdown that had me bouncing. My favorite part of their set was when they played ‘I Don't Want To Close My Eyes' by Aerosmith and everyone was singing in unison. It truly was a beautiful moment, one that reminded me why festivals mean so much to me.

Alesso was up next and he played a lot of his original hits, including ‘City of Dreams,' which the had the crowd simultaneously singing as well. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster as Seven Lions was up after Alesso and played  all the hits I wanted him to play and he tugged at my heart strings with ‘A Way To Say Goodbye' and ‘Strangers.' He even gave us a taste of his upcoming Creations EP as he closed out his set. Yellow Claw was up next and it was hard for me to transition from such emotionally charged music to that Amsterdam Trap, but Yellow Claw's set was still incredible. Playing tracks off of their Blood For Mercy album, including ‘Lifetime' with Tiesto ft. Kyler England and ‘Catch Me' with Flux Pavilion ft. Naaz. Deorro closed out the night at the main stage, but I was way to cold to stay so I left back to the campgrounds.

Insomniac Events and Pasquale Rotella took us down the rabbit hole once again with another successful Beyond Wonderland! Although the festival grounds were small and you could hear music from other stages when you were at each stage, the dust wasn't as bad because they put down black rubber mats. Beyond Wonderland 2016 had a little something for everyone and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us at Nocturnal Wonderland in September!
