Dance Community Makes Young DJ’s Dying Wish Come True

After being diagnosed with a brain tumor at just two years old, Tanner Seebaum managed to survive after several surgeries in treatments. When Tanner learned that the tumor had come back in 2012 and he only had months to live, he made it his mission to live out his dreams. One of those dreams just happened to be learning how to DJ.

By June 2013, Tanner had the experience of a lifetime of performing at the Hard Rock Hotel during EDC week in Las Vegas. Tanner passed away a few short weeks later knowing that he got to experience something many aspiring DJ's never will.

His fight was documented in a film titled ‘Beats4Tanner', with the trailer being premiered at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on July 30th and the debut of the film August 13th at the Las Vegas Film Festival. Proceeds from the film will benefit the Tanner Seebaum Foundation which helps fund medical research for treatment of pediatric tumors of the brain and spine.

Many Dj's have shown support for the film. Skrillex provided the music and Diplo even makes an appearance. Krewella, Datsik, and Downlink have also shown support.

It's a beautiful thing when the dance community comes together for a common good. Check out a clip from the movie below.
