So I am in the market for a new tent for this festival season. I rode out both Mysteryland USA and the natural disaster that was The Hudson Music Project in my parents tent from the 1980's. Its huge and did it's job well but it was showing its age by the end of the summer. With Electric Forest, Mysteryland, Bisco/Hudson, and some none music camping trips planned for 2015, I knew it was time for a change. So I was scrolling through the internet looking for new alternatives when I found some absolute magic on Kickstarter, the crowdfunding website used mostly by inventors. The Cinch Tent.
I am easily amused, I will admit that I have made my fair share of impulse buys on Etsy at 3am but this is serious. This tent is a game changer.
So yeah…this tent literally features everything. And POPS UP. Yeah…like you do not need to unravel it and fight to figure out which side is up. It just pops up, and you stake it down. Then you are ready to go hit the mainstage without a care in the world. The tent is on Kickstarter for a few more days and different sizes can be bought at a discounted price before the campaign ends.
So it is a breeze to set up and break down, it charges your phone by harnessing the power of the celestial body, is completely water proof and is sold for under $200? Well Cinch Tent…you have me sold.
