The music streaming service Spotify recently confirmed expanding their business by receiving an additional $250 million round of funding. Spotify has received much negative attention though from artists questioning whether the service is actually good for the musician or not. SFX Entertainment continues to dominate the events space as it has just acquired the European live event ticketing business known as Paylogic. SFX has purchased 75% of Paylogic for $16.2 million putting a valuation of the company at about $22 million. While Paylogic has been widely used in Europe for some time, Paylogic made their US debut this past September with TomorrowWorld in Georgia. Paylogic now has sold more than 20 million tickets and will continue to be a white-label service provider.read more
