Aly & Fila’s latest album ‘Quiet Storm’ was an all around trance masterpiece. When an album of such magnitude hits the public, equally as talented producers race to put their own unique spin on some of the biggest tracks. Since Aly & Fila are extremely well established in the trance community the amount of talent their remix album attracted is actually jaw dropping. The album ranges from beautiful melodic trance anthems to full throttle tunes that are brimming to the top with shear intensity. Listening to the...read more
April 11, 2014 Madison Square Garden, New York City. First impressions for our review of “Armin Only” Tour at MSQ…The lines are long. We (and everyone else) were patient though, knowing that our reward would be an INTENSE night. Once inside, we watched as the Garden filled up. With more than 18,000 seats, it took awhile, but seeing the sea of trance fans put into perspective just how popular Armin here in the Big Apple. When the lights went out, the roar of the crowd was like nothing we’d ever heard. A giant...read more

Following an unbelievable performance at Ultra Music Festival, where he debuted in North American soil and performed at the State of Trance 650 stage, we can only expect one thing: tonight will be magical. A modern day “Mozart,” he combines a mix of classical sounds, chopped vocals, pianos, strings with powerful saws and synths that made him famous for...read more

I couldn’t be more excited to announce the official release of Eiforya. I have been an Armin fan since I started listening to Trance 6 years ago and this collaboration is just absolute perfection. Combining the grand master with his new generation pupil Andrew Rayel was a delight for all of us trance heads. At 132 bpm, this track has great energetic build ups with a melodic touch from Rayel. You won’t be able to stay still after hearing this. You can purchase the full track on...read more
Based on the title of Carlo Calabro‘s new track, “Cereal Killer,” the Polish trance & house producer must have been binging on bowls of cereal in the studio while making this track. Signed to Marco V’s label, In Charge Recordings, this track runs at a calm pace of 124 bpm and garners a number of elements. The fat sub-bass and claps on the kicks give the song a big-room backbone, while the acid arpeggio invokes an old-school trance/progressive vibe — at the break, newer-school trance stabs take the reins of...read more
With the anticipation building for the release of Gareth Emery’s second studio album, Drive, the UK-based producer/DJ decided to post a track from the album on his Soundcloud; his favorite one, to boot. And just like how he claimed last year that his new album would not include bangers, this new track- straying away from mighty drops and buzzy electro leads- shows that he meant what he said. “Long Way Home” starts off with a plucky, trance-inspired melody — a signature preference of Emery’s. Affectionate, chopped...read more
Envision festival took place in Utiva, Costa Rica in late February and was a huge success from what I heard. In addition to having a pretty funky lineup headlined by the likes of Tipper, Papadosio and The Polish Ambassador, Envision was focused on sustainable living as well as having a significant yoga and performance art pieces. As an attendant, Brady Jacob, also known by his moniker Skinny Hendrix in the Miami local music scene, assembled an awesome mix based on the artists who performed. He had wanted to commemorate the experience and...read more
