With rumors circulating for the past couple days that Mysteryland USA would be cancelled due to poor ticket sales, the festival took to Facebook to confirm the unfortunate truth. In an official statement, Mysteryland USA wrote:
Mysteryland USA was set to feature more variety in headliners than past years with G-Eazy, LCD Soundsystem and Major Lazer as the big three atop the lineup. However, artists and fans will not be making the trip to the Woodstock Holy Grounds of Bethel Woods, NY for the festival in 2017. Let's hope this does not set a precedent for the future.
