You read that correctly. Police were called to break up an illegal rave in a sewer in Newcastle after over 200 people were spotted walking through a river to the hidden rave. Located in a tunnel, underneath a bridge on the River Ouseburn, the event was raided by Northumbria Police after revellers on site had safety concerns. It is believed that the organizers had set up a sound system and lighting rig in the tunnel, while partygoers met at a nearby pub before making their way to the underground sewer party. No arrests were made after the even was shut down at around 4am.
