Boombox Cartel has blacked out their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profile. Their profile picture and banner images on all socials are now just solid black, and the captions read “until next time”. Upon inspected the comment section, it seems that most fans believe this has to do with one of the members having a difficult time getting work visas. Naturally most of the blame is shifting towards President Trump.
The duo have remained what seems to be intentionally vague about the move, but sources who attended their show in El Paso a few days ago have mentioned that an announcement was made that they would be taking a break to focus on problems back in Mexico. It sounds like that the duo will be not performing for quite awhile. Nothing has been officially said about their upcoming performances in in festivals in both Mexico and the US.
