Pendulum Releases New Mysterious Video Along with Link to New Website

About an hour ago a little drum and bass act named Pendulum decided that today was a good day to break the internet. If you are reading this piece and wondering who Pendulum is, we want to welcome you to the land of the heavenly within the genre of drum n bass. If you have ever even heard the name Pendulum, you already understand the sheer size and impact of the group and the contributions they've made to bass music as well as electronic music as a whole. Since the first days of 2012, the group has been on a major hiatus, releasing no new music, and sparsely performing only a handful of times, all of which have been surprise performance. The began to resurface last march when they headlined the final day of Ultra Music Festival, arguably the most important electronic event of the year. The performance was a combination of the Pendulum project, as well as Knife Party, the group that Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillenn founded in the wake of the hiatus. While the entirety of the performance only gave fans a dose of 3-4 Pendulum songs, there was a glimmer of hope at their return.

On December 16th of this past year, the group blasted a photo on their social media pages signifying something from the project was coming in 2017. Fans jumped with joy as KJ Sawka, the drummer for the band, posted the same photo on his page on Christmas confirming a tour by asking fans what cities they would want to see the band play in. The tour was happening and fans couldn't be happier.

The post that came an hour ago features a video filled with cuts of black and white film clips and a mixture of sounds that sound like a train arriving to a station and a clock ticking. You can check out the video below. The video ends with a short clip of their logo and is accompanied by the page Pendulumreturns.com. The page leads fans to enter their emails in the chance to receive the News about Pendulum in 2017 before anyone else. This announcement could possibly signal a new album to accompany the 2017 tour. Prayers in our hearts are wishing for both, but we are incredibly grateful to see the band getting back together in whatever fashion they choose. Keep your eyes peeled to our site for more news about the Pendulum return in 2017!
