All music fans awoke yesterday morning to the Coachella 2017 lineup — a lineup so unreal, most must have made the assumption they were either: A) still dreaming or B) the lineup was another fake. It was real life, though, and now that we've all been brought back down to Earth, another festival has dropped a lineup to keep the hype for festival season going: The Governor's Ball Music Festival.
As one of several festivals to call Randall's Island Park, N.Y. its home, Governor's Ball has been New York City's prolific music festival for the past few years, showcasing a wide variety of genres. 2016's edition of the ball featured a star-studded cast, but for the new year, the festival appears ready to come back better than ever. Among headliners such as Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino and Tool, electronic music artists will look to shine under the bright city lights.
Likely the most notable of all, Flume will be a headliner as well as Marshmello, Phantogram and Rüfüs Du Sol who follow below the Australian artist who's coming off of a massive year after releasing his sophomore album. Personally, I'm also looking forward to the post-EDM act EDEN, but watch the official announcement video below to see the other DJs, rappers and bands that stack this year's lineup!
