Producer, PARKER, just released his trap remix of “DonaldTrumpMakesMakesMeWantToSmokeCrack” on Soundcloud this week. The 25-year-old San José native is a budding artist that has proven with the release of this remix that a prosperous music career is definitely in the making.
While producing music for only about four years, PARKER has been involved with music his whole life. Revealing that he has a history in both vocals and playing the guitar, it’s apparent that music has always been a big factor for him. “I actually went to school for choir which sounds kind of ridiculous,” he said laughing, “But once I turned 21 I decided this [producing] is what I wanted to do.”
In middle school, the artist listened to a lot of “happy hardcore” which is what introduced him to the electronic music scene. “It’s really fast, it’s really ridiculous, but it’s super happy music,” he said, “I listened to it for the longest time, and I loved it.”
When listening to PARKER’s own remix it is clear how the genre has worked to influence him. The DonaldTrumpMakesMeWantToSmokeCrack remix, while very much trap inspired, is still up-beat and carefree. This perfectly aligns with the idea that PARKER is all about producing “feel good music.” His upcoming tracks are all named based on nostalgic feelings. If he had to describe his music in one word it would be, “Melodic, but you can go hard to it as well in my opinion.”
This debut remix has set the groundwork for PARKER’s promising music career. It’s easy to dance to, original, and just plain fun. With a ton of unreleased music just waiting to be made accessible, PARKER is going to release around one to two tracks a month. “These tracks I’m super excited about because I’ve got some amazing vocalists on some of my music,” PARKER said, “I’m really incorporating some soul/gospel-y vocals.”
It’s evident how passionate PARKER is about his production as he said, “I’m so excited to be releasing music, and I feel so ready.”
