This Is The Story Behind Daft Punk and Jay-Z’s Unreleased Collaboration

Before Daft Punk released their ‘Random Access Memories' album, Daft Punk scored Disney's Tron: Legacy.

During an interview with Mitchell Leib, the person in charge of music for the film, Leib reveals the history of working with Daft Punk and also their cancelled collaboration with Jay Z.

The unreleased collaboration titled “Computerized” was supposed to be Tron's lead single. Leib said that she had helped orchestrate a secret meeting between Jay-Z and Daft Punk in which Daft Punk was really excited about. The final song apparently didn't go well with the movie's fantasy nature and was too rooted in real life and was left off the album. The song did however leak in 2014 and can be streamed below.
