It seems like every day there's a new singer-songwriter on the block, so it becomes a bit tough to keep up with everyone. When it comes to Ameria, though, we've deemed it completely necessary to keep up with her for what's to come. With this video and the trap inspired production alone, we are completely sold on her project. “Chained To You” tells a bit of a personal story of a love so strong that it blinded Ameria from the world around her, as she tells in a quote below.
“I think this happens to a lot of people. When someone is happily in a relationship everybody wants to date them and suddenly because of the happy energy they put out, everybody is attracted. It’s like people see you as a piece of meat – and when they goes to hang with their partner's friends or party and it’s like doesn’t matter who they meet down there, because this feeling makes them blind to the ‘other options.'
When I wrote it I recalled the feeling when I felt “the most in love” in my life, and it made me realize that I became “blind” to the world or at least for other men because my feelings were so strong for this particular guy.”
