Even though we all already know a DJ talent competition show screams- SOS ABORT ABORT, Tiesto is the first respected DJ to publicly come out saying ‘I don't think it will ever work for Simon Cowell'.
Although Simon has had plenty of success with music competition shows like American Idol and X Factor, a DJ competition show is a different turn in the wrong direction for the producer. Even though dance music is the current ‘trend' in the pop music scene, Simon has forgotten one major component that Tiesto points out, ‘you need an hour to DJ, not two minutes on TV'.
To keep the show interesting for viewers, Tiesto believes you need more than just a DJ standing behind the decks, ‘The vocal aspect is what’s missing. When you see someone sing good or bad that will never get boring'. The dutch DJ has made some good points, but there's always a chance Simon Cowell will shock us. We'll have to stay tuned to see.
