Future deep house Oliver Heldens makes it seem easy between releasing constant new music, from having a wild festival season, and still going on tour he makes his life look easy. From collaborations with Sander van Doorn to Pickachu with Mr. Belt & Wezol, it’s no surprise that the Dutch superstar was called upon by the man himself, Tiesto, to remix his original, Light Years Away (ft. DBX).
Heldens has gotten a little bit of backlash for his couple releases, critics saying that his sound was unoriginal and repetitive. You can forget about those haters, while your listening to this gorgeous remix. The first time I heard the new Light Years Away remix was at this year’s Electric Zoo Festival in New York. I had tears rolling down my face because of the magnificent blend of melodic tunes along with DBX vocals. The rising star takes the progressive nature of the song and spins into a groovy deep house jam backing it up with beautiful piano playing. This was a perfect collaboration between Tiesto and Oliver Heldens, he couldn’t have picked a better song to remix.
