After all the epic anthems, mischief and mishaps – from intoxicating trance to the heartbeat altering bass, there have been some truly amazing tracks out this year. Of course, we will always expect great things from the ‘greats' like Tiesto, Kaskade, and Deadmau5. Every year though, a brand new flock of producers break through to public awareness, earn themselves a spot on the mainstage at festivals across the globe.
Trying to predict who those breakthroughs will be is rough – it's some crazy combination of skill, talent, hardwork, great management, personality, dedication, and luck. An absurd amount of luck. But also – love. Crazy love from fans that to push them, crazy love for the music. And they put out sick tracks, sometimes outdoing their more famous peers. They've got raw talent, ambition, and guts. They have fans. 2014 will be theirs.
