HARD Summer May Not Be Allowed At Whittier Narrows Recreation Area

When L.A. State Historic Park underwent renovations earlier this year, HARD Fest knew that it would be the destination of choice for its annual HARD Summer festival. According to sources with inside information though, HARD Summer will not be returning back to the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area next year. “The reason appears to be related to a spate of arrests at Hard Summer this year, and a death.” This year, HARD Summer had approximately 100 arrests as well as a 19 year old girl who died from health complications. Au5 – Snowblind feat. Tasha Baxter

Combining elements of electro, progressive house, trance, and dubstep, Austin Collins, aka Au5, has been engulfed in music since the age of 3. Starting off with a keyboard and playing songs by ear that he would hear on TV, he eventually transitioned to the bass and guitar, leading him to pursue a degree in the musical arts, specializing in Classical and Jazz.  After only one year, Austin dropped out and created the alter ego we all know today, Au5. He has always exhibited his musical talent through emotionally driven productions, and his new...

Tracy Chapman – Give Me One Reason (The Tailors Remix)

Flashback Friday for most of us 90′s babies reminds us of slow rock jams and cartoons. Nothing really says folksy 90′s rock and lazy days after school playing video games like Tracy Champan. And here’s a remix that does the song some justice. The Tailors put this tech house remix together and it’s pretty awesome. The intro is sped up, Tracy’s vocals get put in some interesting arrangement spots, and before you know it, you’re in elementary school again. The Tailors are two Dutch producers making soulful...

Interview: Lotus Tells Us That Their next Album Will Have a Dance Pop Focus

Last month Lotus released their latest massive production titled “The Gilded Age”. The album is available on Amazon and iTunes. Following up on the release, the band’s bassist, Jesse Miller, gave us the inside scoop on their next big project; a pop-dance album. To me, that sounds like a heavy Daft Punk influence, but there’s definitely going to be some surprise in the release. Lotus continues to set the standard in live electro and genre infusion: “We cross a lot of different things. Some stuff is a lot more...
